Transform the unveiling of Bvlgari’s Aeterna High Jewellery collection into an immersive narrative journey that elevates the nuanced curvature of the Serpenti necklace into an experiential language of rebirth, transformation, and eternity for its exclusive clientele.

The Aeterna High Jewellery Collection is a celebration of Rome’s eternal beauty, Bvlgari’s 140-year legacy of perpetual reinvention, and the timeless splendour of nature’s most precious gems. Each creation is described as a fragment of eternity, a reminder that beauty is cyclical — always returning, always reborn.
The immersive installation, ESSE OCEANUS, translates these values into a SPATIAL NARRATIVE JOURNEY. Each room mirrors a chapter of the Aeterna story: from the raw ORIGINS of CREATION, through TRANSFORMATION and REVELATION, to inner RENEWAL and whispered MEMORY. By rooting the design in Roman heritage and the myth of eternal rebirth, the experience allows VICs to live the same mythic cycle embodied by the Serpenti necklace.

CAMPAIGN NARRATIVE | Becoming The Ocean
THE SEA CREATURES
Living harmoniously for thousands of years in the wild depths of the ocean, Sea Creatures once stepped on land with a movement of the most graceful kind.
THE WAVE
As a memory of their true habitat and natural environment, their bodies produced a psychic organ in the shape of a “Wave,” imprinting the memory of their rich inner inheritance on their bare skin.
THE ANCHOR
Their health depended on The Wave’s nutrient delivery, and the tissue contained a water-retaining substance with abundant vitamins and minerals, an anchor to their home.

EXCLUSIVE HIGH JEWELLERY LAUNCH “ESSE OCEANUS”
The set was created for an exclusive premiere of the Aeterna Serpenti Collection. This set design provides the space for the overall cultural program of the campaign, such as performances, theatre plays, and panel discussions aligned with the BVLGARI brand.

“THE AQUA VITAE SANCTUARY”
A part of the “Esse Oceanus” exhibition, the “Aqua Vitae Sanctuary” extends the metaphor of revival and rebirth. Offering the guests their own fragment of eternity (an Aqua Vitae Bottle) at the end of the experience.

THE “OCEAN WHISPER” GALLERY
Guests enter a darkened chamber where glowing “OceanBuds” float softly in the air. Each shell holds a hidden speaker. Leaning close, guests hear whispers of poetry, wisdom, or the sea itself — voices tied to beauty, longing, and memory. Some buds pulse gently, as if breathing. Around the room, curved benches invite quiet contemplation in this intimate sanctuary of sound.

“THE ORIGIN ROOM”
Guests enter a dim, womb-like room with flowing water projections, echoes of distant waves, and wax sculptures melting and reforming—hinting at lost wax casting and primal form. Melting wax sculptures allude to lost wax casting, emphasizing transformation from formlessness to beauty—an allegory of Bvlgari’s craftsmanship.

SET & LIGHT DESIGN | Fragmens of Eternity & The Eternal Light of Rome
EPHEMERAL ARCHITECTURE | Fragments of Eternity in Space
The set design reimagines Rome’s eternal monuments as translucent apparitions. Using skeletal metal frameworks draped in sheer mesh, the outlines of ancient ruins appear both fragile and timeless — fragments of eternity suspended in light. This ephemeral architecture embodies Bvlgari’s essence: rooted in history, yet perpetually reborn.
LIGHT AS THE ARCHITECT | Cycles of Rebirth
As the show unfolds, light becomes the true sculptor. Backlit projections illuminate the mesh structures, transforming ruins into radiant silhouettes. Light passes through and around them like memory itself, revealing, concealing, and renewing. This cyclical play of darkness and glow mirrors the Aeterna philosophy — every fragment of heritage becoming a seed of reinvention.
THE ETERNAL LIGHT OF ROME | The Revelation
The climax arrives with the unveiling of the Aeterna Serpenti Necklace. The space fills with a cool, celestial radiance, and light converges from behind the necklace, symbolizing the Eternal Light of Rome. The fragments of translucent architecture now frame the jewel like a sacred halo — a final gesture where myth, craftsmanship, and rebirth align.
PROCESS | Sculpting “The Wave”
Inspired by the curvature of the necklace, The Wave began in the hands of an artisan. The form was first shaped in clay, then encased in plaster, creating a mold that captured every contour. Into this vessel, liquid latex was poured.
MATERIAL TO METAPHOR
As it dried, the latex transformed — its surface acquiring a supple, skin-like quality. This material proved to be the perfect medium for embodying the necklace’s sensual undulations in a wearable form. Thus, The Wave evolved into a body-suit: a second skin for the Sea Creatures as a styling piece for editorial work and later exhibited by the performers at the reveal.
ALCHEMICAL PROCESS
The accompanying video captures the alchemy of this process: from sculpting raw clay, casting plaster molds, and pouring liquid latex, to the final act of fitting and refining it directly on the body.

This concept transforms this innate CHARECTERISTIC into a POETIC NARRATIVE: a celebration of seeing oneself clearly, acting with honesty, and moving through the world with unclouded intention.
